There are many things that I consider beautiful. This site inspired me to write about them more often.

1. Mustaches
I’m sure you all know the old joke about shaving: Men are naturally so ugly that they have to scrape off some of their face each morning just to look presentable. While it’s fun to kid about men being unattractive, it is not OK to insinuate that a lack of facial hair is to be desired. To the doubters, I can can only ask this: If the Good Lord really wanted men to walk about with naked upper lips, why then did he create mustache wax and tiny metal combs?
2. Hearts on Fire, by Cut Copy
If ever there was written a completely perfect song, it was this one (I wish I could have found a quality version without the clearly NOT perfect video). This specimen of pure musical genius bears listening to an infinite number of times, and never fails to leave me in some level of rapture by the time it is finished.

3. Clouds partially obscuring the moon
This is one of those things I can’t really express in words. There’s an indescribable sense of wonder that comes over me whenever the moon shines through the clouds — similar to the feeling I used to get when I could still see the Milky Way without having to try to ignore the reflections on my glasses. We think we know so much about the world. But in reality, the universe is strange and beyond our comprehension. In a way, it’s that mysterious, intangible strangeness that is the most beautiful thing of all.
